My Four Favorite Animes

Did you know that I, your beloved kidZ (this sounds so cheesy O___O), am an otaku?

For those of you who don't know what an otaku means, it's basically someone who is unhealthily obsessed with something in particular. In fact, "otaku" means "geek" in Japanese. (Don't I sound like SUCH an awesome person?! :D) In my case, I am really obsessed with  anime and manga. They're just soooo awesome. Here is MY list of some of the awesomest animes and mangas eveeeeer.

1. Hunter x Hunter 2011

A story about the quests of four friends...I guess that's the summary XD. They're basically just a group of Hunters who are living their lives, being awesome. I just love this sooooo much. The animation is spectacular, the music is great (though it did get a little worse after the Zoldyck Family arc ._.), story is awesome, characters are interesting (I actually have a crush on Killua, the white-haired dude), HUMOR IS VERY kidZ-FRIENDLY!

I prefer this to the 1999 version, because the story is shorter and cleaner, and the animation is better. The Hunter x Hunter manga is worth reading, but I prefer the anime. Because there's COLOR >:3 I haven't watched the entire thing though--I'm just in the Heavens Arena arc--but it's one of my favorites.

2. Kaichou wa Maid-sama! (The President is a Maid! in English)

A story about a super strict school president, Misaki Ayuzawa, who works in a Maid Cafe! Interesting story, huh? Well, this thing is basically a romantic comedy about Misa-neechan's misadventures with the most popular guy in Seika High, Takumi Usui.

The animation is BEAUTIFUL (why can't i draw like that :( ), the music is Last Song Syndrome-worthy (although they only have three songs: one opening and two endings), the story is MORE BEAUTIFUL, the characters are weird in a good way XD, and the humor is just so >w<

I love this so much ._. even if the romantic bits get too fluffy for my taste (well, I'm just a kid :P), it's so adorable and addicting! The manga is the MOST BEAUTIFUL of them all. I regularly read it online. If only Mangafox.com can make it faster....

3. Fairy Tail

This is a story about the members of the craziest wizard guild EVER, Fairy Tail. LOL, I'm so terrible at summarizing anime. Anywho, going on to the criticism part of the article:

The animation of Fairy Tail is awesome (though the anime's animation is two times better than the manga's), the music is okay but they tend to have songs that REALLY stand out, the story--even if its a LITTLE bit rough--is superb, the characters are so unique (there's a tough lady who loves sweets and an ice wizard who forgets to put his clothes on ._.), and the humor is just...(i o i) awesome.

I can't really recommend the manga since I haven't read it yet XD, but this anime is WORTH watching.

4. Detective Conan/Case Closed

The story about a high-school detective, Shinichi Kudo, who got drugged and turned into a kid! Isn't this as interesting as Maid-Sama?!! Okay, the animation is excellent (though if you see the older episodes, the animation is a little lame), I can't really judge the music XD, the story is sooo >w<, there are too many characters O___O, and it's so funneh :D

You know why I can't judge this too much? It's because it's too freaking long; it has over 600 episodes (it's the 17th longest anime ever ._.) and plenty of movies. I've only seen until Movie 4, Captured in Her Eyes, and seen until around Episode 60. I don't DARE read the manga, which is probably 7% longer ._.

My only complaint: their names have been changed. I'd hate to see the full-fledged English version because Shinichi has been turned to Jimmy (which is sort of dumb), Ran has been changed to Rachel, so on, so on. You know what? PRESERVE THEIR AWESOMENESS BY PRESERVING THEIR AWESOME NAMES D: 

However, it's still AWESOME. I actually use some of their mysteries on my amateur newsletter. If you EVER want to watch all 600+ episodes and I think 12 movies, here's a word of advice: hold on to your socks. :P
